Everyone has heard of the Home Purchase Tax Credit but you may not know some changes have been made to make it possible to use that Credit on closing cost and buy down interest.

Some good news - some state housing finance agencies have developed their own tax credit loan programs, so buyers in states whose HFA's offer these programs can montize the tax credit upfront to cover all or part of their downpayment. These programs are separate from the Hud/FHA program announced above on May 29.
